VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — Helen M. Marquis, 88, of Virginia Beach died May 7, 2002, in Virginia Beach. She was born Aug. 13, 1913, in Detroit, Mich., to Harry T. Zentner and Luella Guildrie. She lived in Rogers from 1961-1997 where she was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, the Rosary Altar Society and was a volunteer at St. Mary's Hospital. She and her husband were former managers of the Best Western Motel and Restaurant in Rogers. She also worked for Sears Roebuck in Rogers and was a hostess at the Holiday Inn in Bentonville. Her husband, Norman Marquis, preceded her in death.
Survivors include one daughter, Annette Marquis of Buckley, Mich.; one son, Jarrett Marquis of Virginia Beach; four grandchildren, James, Michael, Daniel and Thomas Marquis.
A memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. May 24 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Rogers.
Burial will be in St. Vincent Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to a favorite charity.
