Simmons Plantation Memorial Cemetery
Mississippi County,

This cemetery is in very poor
condition. There is evidence of graves that have sunken over the years. I noticed several animal dens in the thick growth of vines and weeds. I have been told that this is the resting place for slaves and former slaves of the B.S. Simmons Plantation. The three stones posted on this site are the only visible markers. If anyone has more information about this cemetery or would like to become involved in restoring and preserving it, you may contact me for more information. My email address is posted below.
