HOXIE — Ernest Eugene Moore, 70, of Hoxie died Sunday, , at Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Walnut Ridge.
He was born Sept. 8, 1945, to Benjamin and Mattie Mae Crumpton Moore. He married Syble Faye Langley on Oct. 16, 1970. He was a farmer and of the Pentecostal belief.
Ernest was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Syble Faye; brothers, Danny Bray and Bennie Moore; and grandsons, Noah Lee Gatewood and Eli Neece.
Survivors include his children, James Bryant of Jonesboro, Connie Moore of Rockford, Ill., Gene Moore (Angela) of Baton Rouge, La., Gary Moore (Patty) of Pocahontas, Teri Patterson of Hoxie, Tonia Rowland of Alicia and Michael Moore (Jerrie) of Pocahontas; brothers, George Moore of Omaha, Neb., Michael Moore and B J. Moore of Louisiana and Wayne Laroe of Paragould; sister, Pat Mortson of Louisiana; 27 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. Thursday at the Church of Jesus Christ, Arkansas 166 South, Pocahontas. Funeral service will follow at noon with Rick Hart officiating. Burial will be in Oak Forest Cemetery at Black Rock under the direction of Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.
Sons will serve as pallbearers with grandsons serving as honorary pallbearers.
