Jimmy Earl Mallett, 73, of Greenbrier, went to be with the Lord Friday, June 27, 2014. He was born April 27, 1941, in Wooster, Ark., to Irvin Mallett and Reba Sue Hill Mallett. Mr. Mallett was a member of First Baptist Church of Vilonia. He worked as a heavy equipment operator in Alaska, Michigan, North Carolina, South Carolina and several other places around the country. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Arlene Tippit Mallett; sons, Jeremy Mallett (Christina) of Greenbrier and Jimmy Joe Mallett (Irene) of Hurst, Texas; brothers, Frank Mallett of Twin Groves, Bill Mallett of Little Rock, Dan Mallett of Greenbrier, and Gary Mallett of Damascus; and sister, Nancy Dickerson of Damascus. Other survivors include grandchildren, Gracie Mallett, Elijah Mallett and Abbigail Mallett; along with a host of extended family and friends. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Monday, June 30, 2014, at Bishop-Crites Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 1, 2014, at Bishop-Crites Funeral Home chapel, with Bro. John Burleson officiating. Ed Roberts, George Webber, Eddie Cochrin, David Reynolds, John Burleson and David Baker will serve as pallbearers.Arrangements by Bishop-Crites Funeral Home of Greenbrier, 501-679-4400.
