Charles Cook, 79, of Russellville, passed away Saturday, January 11, 2014 at his home in Russellville.

The son of Newton and Iva Hester Reynolds Cook, he was born June 18, 1934 in Appleton.

He retired from Con Agra after 32 years of service as a building and grounds maintenance man. He was a member of the Calvary Temple Assembly of God in Russellville. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved the outdoors. He especially loved spending time with his children and grandson. He was loved by his family very much and will be missed.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Ruby Cook; his parents; two brothers, James Cook and Leathel Cook; and two sisters, Mildred Leavern Buchanan and Kay Baker.

Survivors include his son, Jim Cook of Russellville; daughter, Linda Standridge and husband, Ted of Hector; grandson, Roger Standridge; two brothers, Ramon Cook of Appleton and William Cook and wife, Carolyn of Appleton; sister, Mary L. Eubanks and husband, James of Jerusalem; nephew, Donald Cook and wife, Jan of Houston, TX; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.

Funeral Service will be held at 2:00PM, Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Appleton. Reverend Devoe Campbell will officiate. Burial will be at Appleton Cemetery in by Humphrey Funeral Service. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time at the church.
