Dene the son of William Henry West Jr and Mahalia Josephine (Howard) West. Dene was an Elder of the Milligan Camp Ground Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Anna the daughter of George Washington Mullen and Mollie Bell (Milligan) Mullen.

Dene West, 90, of Strawberry, died Feb. 21, 2005, at his home. Born Oct. 24, 1914, at Aetna in Sharp County, he was the son of William Howard and Mahalia Josephine Howard West. He was a retired farmer and a member and elder of the Milligan Camp Ground Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Ruth Mullen West; six brothers; and three sisters.

Survivors include three sons, Gary West, Strawberry, Danny West, Okmulgee, Okla., and David West, Tulsa; three daughters, Jo Ann Conatser, Trumann; Patty Huskey, Saffell, and Helen Lackey, Sulphur Rock; 15 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

Funeral is today at 2 p.m. at the Milligan Campground Cumberland Presbyterian Church, near Strawberry, with Bro. Grayden Milligan officiating. Burial will follow in Milligan Campground Cemetery under the direction of Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.

Pallbearers will be Payton Huskey, Steve Conatser, Paul Lackey, Mark West, Patrick Huskey and Kenny West. Obituary courtesy of Quall's Funeral Homes.

STRAWBERRY Anna Ruth West, 86, of Strawberry died Friday, May 3, 2002, at the Cave City Nursing Home.

Born at Strawberry, she was a homemaker and member of the Milligan Camp Ground Cumberland Presbyterian Church near Strawberry.

Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Dene West of the home; three sons, Gary West of Strawberry, Danny West of Okmulgee, Okla., and David West of Tulsa, Okla.; three daughters, JoAnn Conatser of Trumann, Patty Huskey of Saffell, and Helen Lackey of Sulphur Rock; two brothers, Claud Mullen of Smithville and Paul Von Mullen of Strawberry; and one sister, Pearl Harris of Cave City.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George W. and Mollie B. Milligan Mullen; seven sisters; and eight brothers.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Milligan Campground Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Grayden Milligan and Alan Meinzer officiating. Burial will follow in the Milligan Campground Cemetery with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.

Pallbearers will be James Huskey, Paul Lackey, Mike West, Steve Conatser, Patrick Huskey and Mark West.
