Ollie the 2nd wife of Arvel Watson. The daughter of William Miles Ripka and Sara Lorinda (Chambless) Ripka.


Ollie Watson, 92, of Batesville, died July 31 2003, at Woodlawn Nursing Home in Batesville.

Born Dec 14, 1910, at Lynn,she was the daughter of William and Lola Ripka. She was a homemaker and a member of the Strawberry Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her husband,Arvel Watson; a Son, Albert Lee Watson; Two Brothers, Charlie Ripka and Walter Ripka; four Sisters, Tennie, Gracie, Pearl and Alpha "Faye"; a Grandson, Donny Watson; and a Great Grandson, Carlos Keck II.

Survivors include Four Sons, W.O. Watson and Arlin Watson, both of Strawberry.

Tony Watson, Saffell and Gene Watson, Cave City;Four Daughters, Mary Lee Kendall, Cherry Valley, Geneva Keck, Batesville, Dolly Schwartz, Entrub, Portia, and Barbara Ann Burtcher, Sulphur Rock; Two Sisters Dona Wortham, Batesville. and Dorothy Mason, Moorefield; 33 Grandchildren; 59 Great Grandchildren; and 15 Great great Grandchildren.

Funeral was Saturday at 2p.m. at Roller-Crouch-McGee Chapel with Rev. Andrew Keck officiating. Burial was in Milligan Campground at Strawberry under the direction of Roller-Crouch-MeGee Funeral Home of Cave City.
Grandsons and Great Grandsons served as pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearers were, Oscar Kendall, Ray Keck and Ed Burtcher.
