Shawn Westbrooks, 20, of Little Rock, died Sunday (June 3, 2001) in Grapevine, Texas.
Born Feb. 3, 1981, in Little Rock, son of Russell Westbrooks of Conway and Tracy Stacks Spikes of North Little Rock, he was a 1999 honor graduate of Conway High School and a student at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. He played ice hockey for Little Rock Lightning and the Arkansas Junior Glaciercats and was a member of Fellowship Bible Church in Little Rock.
Other survivors are his grandparents, Charles Stacks of Conway, Kay and Larry Raupp of South Lyon, Mich., Iola Willford of Conway, and Russell and Evelyn Westbrooks of Houston; great-grandmother, Rose Lea Stacks of Conway; a stepbrother, Jimmy Spikes of Little Rock; and two stepsisters, Candi Vanpatter of Benton and Miki Deerman of Franklin, Tenn.
Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Thursday at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway with the Rev. David Bruns officiating. Burial will be in Republican Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Steve Jensen, Chad Macauly, Skye Huggins, Jimmy Spikes, Crystal Ransom and Tyler Goble.
Visitation will be 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
