Marlon Edward “Eddie” Lee, 35, of Conway, passed away Friday, June 24, 2005, at his home with his longtime friend and caregiver, Tracey Beene of Conway at his side.

He was born on March 3, 1970 in Conway to the late Lewis Edward Lee and Levena F. (Bryant) Lee.

He worked in construction and formerly attended the Church of Christ in Mayflower. He was a 1988 Conway High School graduate. Upon graduation he enlisted in the U.S. Army. He was an Army veteran of the Gulf War serving in Operation Dessert Shield and Operation Dessert Storm as an ammunition specialist. He received many honors including the Army Acheivement Medal, the Good Conduct Medal, Expert Rifle Badge, and the Southwest Asia Service Medal with two Bronze Stars. He was a proud soldier of the 3rd platoon 664 Ordinance Company. He was also a member of the VFW and a very dedicated Nascar Fan.

Survivors include one brother, Stanley Higdon and wife Pam of Greenbrier; one sister, Kathy Reed and husband John of Vilonia; three daughters, Tiffany & Samantha Lee of Haskell, AR, and Nichole Lee of Conway; one son, Blake Lee of Haskell; three nieces, two nephews, one great-nephew; Joe Bryant and family of Holland, Catherine Easter and family of Benton; and several other loving family members.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Greenbrier with Rev. Tom Edwards officiating. Interment will follow at Martinville Cemetery.
