Aulton F. Mode, 69, of Conway, AR, passed away Aug. 16, 2010, at Conway Regional. He was born December 22, 1940 in Little Rock, AR, to the late Faber L. and Julia (Sparkman) Mode. Aulton was a member of Copperas Springs Baptist Church. He rededicated his life on February 12, 2010, and was very humbled by the Lord’s forgiveness. He was a retired truck driver, who had an avid love of animals, he also enjoyed racing modified lawnmowers and the reactions he received when revving the engines on them.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Ray Mode and a grandson, John Talin Patton.

He is survived by his wife Donna (McKenney) Mode of Conway, daughters, Pam McEntire of Vilonia; Tammie Dawn Patton and husband Todd of Wooster;
Step-daughter, Erin Groves and husband Mike; Step-son, Ben Yancey and wife Mandy all of Rector; a brother, Keith Mode and wife Ann; sisters, Margie Fowler and husband Tom of Memphis, TN; Linda Thomas and husband Hoyt of Heber Springs; Rose Mary Cowan and husband Vern of Riverbank CA; Diane Remus and husband Bob of Guy; Grandchildren, Josh and Courtney McEntire; Coltin Patton; Colton and Garrett Groves; Destiny and Bethany Willfond; He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Services will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, August 20, at Copperas Springs Baptist Church in Guy, with Bro. Gary Burdin officiating. Interment will follow at Mode Cemetery, under the direction of Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Greenbrier. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the church.
