The Mode family cemetery is located on the north side of Highway 25 in the Guy Community on Mode Rd. It consists of three separate sections, two of which are enclosed by a 3-foot high native stone wall. The larger section contains the graves of the descendants of John Anderson Mode, Sr. A smaller section contains four graves of the Moore family. (See Moore Cemetery). Another section is surrounded by a chain-link fence and contains only one grave (William Kenneth Davis). The cemetery is located across from the entrance to Battles’ Peach Orchards.

According to an article in Faulkner County: Its Land and People, the first grave was that of Nannie D. (Canipe) Mode, wife of John Anderson Mode, Sr., who died in 1883.
