Jess Lee Scroggins, 85, of Damascus died Saturday (Aug. 26, 2000) at Conway Regional Medical Center.
Born Dec. 10, 1914, in Aglentin, a son of Robert Oscar and Lucy Jane Turney Scroggins, he was a retired dairy and beef cattle farmer and a member of the Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his wife.
Survivors are five sons, Bobby Scroggins and Charles Scroggins, both of Conway, Gary Scroggins of Greenbrier, Mike Scroggins of Springfield and Johnny Henry Scroggins of Little Rock; two daughters, Patsy Payne of Adona and Barbara Mountjoy of Mabelvale; a brother, Don Scroggins of Kansas City, Kan; two sisters, Ola Turner of Kansas City, Kan., and Naydean Shawnburg of California; 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and one great-great- grandchild.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home with the Revs. Freddie Mark Wilcox and Kirk Hardy officiating. Burial will be in Martinville Cemetery.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Chris Scroggins, Mark Scroggins, Cliff Scroggins, Rick Key, Joe Pack and Carl Dee Cooper.
