John McGuire, age 87, of Hattieville, Arkansas passed away Saturday, September 7, 2013. He was born November 12, 1925 in Pottsville, a son of John Silas McGuire and Biddie Jane McNutt McGuire. He was a WWII Army Veteran, a farmer, and attended Hattieville Missionary Baptist Church.
He is survived by his daughter, Kathy Heistand (Tom Walsh) of Hattieville; brother Glenn McGuire of Russellville; sister, Ruby Reese of Atkins; granddaughter, Treva English (Michael) of Morrilton; five great-grandchildren, six step great-grandchildren and two step great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 10, at Cross Roads Cemetery near Appleton with Jim McNutt officiating. Pallbearers will be Bobby Reynolds, Ben Reynolds, Larry Reynolds, Joe Reynolds, Paul Cook, and Jack Cook. Arrangements are by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton.


Mabel Marie Cook McGuire, age 77, of Hattieville, passed away August 26, 2011.

She was born March 12, 1934 in Hattieville, Arkansas, a daughter of J.W. "Bill" Cook and Athlene Reynolds Cook.

She retired from Crompton Mills and was a member of Hattieville Missionary Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, John McGuire of Hattiville; one daughter, Kathy Heistand of Hattieville; three sisters, Ann Ramsey, Sue Gwin and Kay Russell all of Hattieville; one granddaughter, Treva English of Hattieville, ten great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers.
Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 30th at Crossroads Cemetery near Appleton with Bro. John Chapman officiating.
