Frank C. Martin, age 72 of Greenbrier went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 9th, 2006. He was born April 5th, 1933 in Wooster to the late Elwyn and Mary Batson Martin and was born again in June of 1964. He was preceded in death by his brothers: James and William Hardin Martin.

Frank was retired from the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers, was a member and very active at Springhill Baptist Church serving as Deacon and as music director for many years. He was a disabled U.S. Army veteran, an avid fisherman and hobbyist who loved working with wood.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years: Lena Martin, by his children: Larry Franklin Martin and wife Geraine of Sherwood and Tamara Avery and husband Jeb of Greenbrier; four grandchildren: Aaron Franklin Martin, Allison Martin, Taylor Avery and Austin Avery; his brother: Eugene Martin and wife Beuna of Conway and his sister: Betty Thompson and husband Brad of Knoxville, Tennessee. He is also survived by a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends with a mention of a special great niece: Faith Foster.

Funeral services will be Sunday, 2:00 pm, March 12th, at the Springhill Baptist Church officiated by Bro. Ed Stephenson with burial in Copperas Springs Cemetery in Guy. The family will be at the home of Ted and Marilyn Battles in Wooster. Arrangements are by Roller McNutt Funeral Home of Greenbrier (501.327.7727).

Pallbearers are: David Martin, Jim Martin, Preston Martin, Bradley Thompson, Jr., Andrew Patterson and Erby Foster. Honorary pallbearers will be: Ted Battles, J.C. Merritt, Rex Loftin, Carroll Hankins, Sam Martin and Jess Masters.
