Clyde Earl Holyfield, age 95, of Morrilton, passed away Thursday, June 9, 2011. He was born November 28, 1915 in Martinville, Arkansas a son of the late Ed C. and Florence Hardin Holyfield. He was a retired lineman after 35 years at AP&L and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Morrilton.
Survivors include his wife of 74 years: Gennie Mae New Holyfield; children: Shirley (Steve) Shreiner of Elkhart, Indiana, Jim Holyfield of Morrilton, Judy (Jim) Roberson of Morrilton, Rhonda (Rick) Blackwood of Atlanta, Texas; 11 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers: Edwin, Wilburn, and Orrin Holyfield.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 11, 2011 at First Baptist Church in Morrilton with Bro. Bill Brown officiating. Burial will be at Martinville Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
