Norma Marie Clendenin, 74, of Conway passed from this life on Sunday, March 6, 2016.
She was born in Little Rock on July 3, 1941 to the late Luther Hammer and Mildred Marie Hammer Victory. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 31 years, Johnny Franklin Clendenin, Sr., and four sisters, Betty Ray, Jenny Stanton, Jerry Garvin, and Joyce Haynes. Norma worked as a jailer for Faulkner County Sheriff’s Department. She worked many years as a nurse’s aide at Conway hospital and as a home health aide. She enjoyed bowling and softball and was very competitive. She also loved her dogs. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She is survived by her loving companion Al Hale; three sons, Lynn Clendenin (Loria) of Guy, Johnny Clendenin (Michelle) of Hot Springs, Ronnie Allen Clendenin of Guy; four daughters, Vivian K. Whitaker (Rick) of Greenbrier, Donna J. Prahl (Tom) of Auburn, MI, Kathyrn L. Cooper (Jim) of Pinckney, MI, and Lori A. Clendenin of Okechobee, FL; three sisters, Linda Parker of Conway, Sue Fulmer of Denedin, FL, and Virgie Boyles of Branson, MO, two brothers, Allen Victory (Ruby) of Vilonia and W.T. Victory of Huntsville, AR; 14 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 6:00–8:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Greenbrier. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Copperas Springs Cemetery in Guy. Online guestbook www.rollerfuneralhomes.com/greenbrier
