WEST FORK — Erwin Medart, 80, of West Fork died Nov. 16, 2002, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville. He was born Oct. 31, 1922, in Killeen, Texas, to Aven Benjamin and Lucille Bennett Medart. He was a retired postmaster with the West Fork Post Office. He was in the Army Air Corps during World War II.

He is survived by his wife, Vivian Suttle Medart of the home; two sons, Larry Medart and wife Debbie of West Fork and Lorren Medart and wife Charlotte of Amarillo, Texas; two daughters, Sharon Shepard and husband Gary of West Fork and Debbie Corley and husband David of West Fork; seven grandchildren, Tim Shepard, Dan Shepard, Laura Shepard, Jarod Medart, Justin Medart, Heather Corley and Shannon Corley; several nieces and nephews and extended family.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 18, at Friendship Cemetery in West Fork under the direction of Moore's Chapel with Gene Walkar and Ken Francis officiating. Visitation will to from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Moore's Chapel in Fayetteville.
