Nancy Jane Smith, 63 of Guy, died Friday, August 3, 2007 in Conway. Born October 21, 1943, in Toledo, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Galen and Amber (Sanderson) Dauterman. Nancy was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, who enjoyed spending time in her garden and with her grandchildren. She retired from Wal-Greens after 23 years of service and was a member of the Guy Church of Christ.

A brother Daniel Dauterman of Ohio also preceded Nancy in death.

Survivors include her husband of 42 years Guy G. Smith, Jr.; a son Guy G. Smith III and a daughter Gwen Hooten and husband Greg, all of Guy; a grandson Brian Hooten; granddaughters Nicki Hooten and Anna Jane Hooten. Other survivors include two brothers, Ray Dauterman of Maumelle and David Dauterman of Ohio; a sister Denise Maye of Ohio and three sisters-in- law: Rita O’Brien of Ohio, Mrs. Jimmy (Annette) Cagle of Clinton, South Carolina, and Mrs. Pete (Betty) Blackmon of Sumter, South Carolina and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Services will be held on Tuesday, August 7, 2007 at 2:00 pm at the Guy Church of Christ with Clark Hooten officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Monday, August 6, at Roller McNutt Funeral Home in Greenbrier. On line guestbook: www.rollerfuneralhomes.com
