Ethel Irene Hooten Gotcher, 91, of Greenbrier passed away Thursday, April 10, 2003 at Conway Regional Hospital. Born in Guy, Arkansas, March 14, 1912, she was the daughter of the late Julius H. Thorn and Rhoda Thomas Thorn. She was retired from General Motors and was a member of the Greenbrier Church of Christ. She is survived by one son Bill Hooten, Sr. and wife Barbara; one daughter, Verple Baker and husband Gene; six grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; ten great-great-granchildren; one sister, Daphne Hooten of Quitman; and a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Greenbrier on Sunday, April 13, from 2 to 4 p.m. Funeral services will be held Monday, April 14, at 2 p.m. at Greenbrier Church of Christ with Bob Turner and Clark Hooten officiating. Burial will be at Copperas Springs Cemetery in Guy. Pallbearers will be Melvin Thorn, John Nichols, L.J. Kaskie, Farrell Graham, Brannon Rushing and Brian Messer.
