Glenda Louise Hawkins Sanders of Conway Arkansas died Monday, October 3rd, 2005 in U.A.M.S Medical Center-Little Rock at the age of 60. She was born in Searcy (White County) on December 30th, 1944 to Calvin Coolidge and Hazel Lorene Nolan Hawkins. She was preceded in death by mother, Hazel L. Hawkins and by her brother and sister: Danny Edward Hawkins and Vera Hawkins. She was a member of the Pickles Gap Baptist Church and was retired from The Log Cabin newspaper of Conway after 28 years of employment in typesetting and paste-up.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years: Ralph Sanders, by daughter: Lisa Hankins and husband Steve of Greenbrier and her son: Ralph Steven Sanders and wife Ramona of Conway; by two grandchildren: Thomas Steven Sanders of Conway and Ashley DeAnn Hankins of Greenbrier; two sisters: Martha Garrison of Mt. Vernon and Mary Jane Roberts of Bryant; by her father: Calvin C. Hawkins and her grandfather: Abe L. Hawkins both of Mt. Vernon.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 10:00 a.m. October 5th at the Roller McNutt Funeral Home of Conway officiated by Rev. Mark Lashley and Rev. H.R. Neal with burial at Copperas Springs Cemetery in Guy. Visitation will be from 6-8 pm Tuesday. On line guest register: www.rollerfuneralhomes.com
Pallbearers will be: Tim Starkey, Jimmy Hawkins, Paul Brewer, Justin Garrison, Clayton Blake and Jim May. Honorary pallbearers are: Bill Starkey, Jerry Rose, Gary Caldwell and Weldon Davis
