Elmer Ray Epps, 86 of Greenbrier, died Wednesday, November 3, 2004 in Little Rock. He was born February 28, 1918 in Scipio, Oklahoma to the late Ulvie E. and Maggie Cummings Epps. He is predeceased by his twin sister: Velma Dobson and his brother: Arvil Epps. He was a member of the Construction Laborers Teamsters Union Locals # 220 and #402 and was of Baptist faith.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years: Frances Bullard Epps, by his children: Betty O’Banion of Gardnerville, Nevada, Lee Epps and wife Connie of Scipio, Oklahoma; Sue Dorado and husband Jay of Guy; Mary Gibson and husband Donald of Guy; Elmer Ray Epps, Jr. and wife Joyce of Heber Springs; and Ulvie E. Epps and wife Debbie of Guy. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild; his sisters: Eunice Grantham of Scipio, Oklahoma, Edna Pounds of Bakersfield, California, Evelyn Best of Bakersfield, California, and his brothers: L.E. Epps of Scipio, Oklahoma, and Alvin Epps of Bakersfield, California.

Funeral services will be held Sunday 2:00 p.m. November 7, at the Roller McNutt Greenbrier Chapel (501.679.2575) with burial at Copperas Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. Saturday. Pallbearers are: James Epps, Dean Epps, John Epps, Mike Gibson, Nick Derado, Steve Epps, Saul Berumen, Kirk McClain, Joe Moore.

Frances Margaret Epps, 92, of Greenbrier died Oct. 27, 2010.

She was born in Scipio, Okla., on Aug. 14, 1918, to the late Harry Francis Bullard and Arie Terry Bullard.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Elmer Ray Epps; two sons, Elmer R. Epps Jr. and Arley Charles Epps; and a sister, Florine Freeman.

She is survived by two sons, Leman Epps of Scipio, Okla., and Earl Epps of Greenbrier; three daughters, Mary Gibson of Conway, Susan Dorado of Quitman and Betty O’Banin of Greenbrier. Other survivors include 16 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and two on the way.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m.-8 p.m. today at the funeral home with family receiving friends from 6-8 p.m.

Funeral Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Bishop-Griffin Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Tim Brewer officiating.

Burial will follow in Copperas Springs Cemetery.
