Marquita loved her Savior and faithfully served Him. From the time she accepted Jesus as her Savior until the very week of her home going she faithfully attended church services. Even after Alzheimers began to control her mind she found peace in listening to and singing the hymns of the faith.

Marquita loved her family. She was devoted to her husband, William Grant Hatfield for the 64 years of their marriage and her two children William Keith Hatfield and Heather Hatfield Vaillancourt. Marquita was a homemaker. She enjoyed caring for her home and those who lived in it. She was a fastidious housekeeper, enjoyed cooking and baking, as well as embroidery.

Marquita loved her Kentucky roots. She was born in the mountains of eastern Kentucky. While she lived her adult life in Michigan and Arkansas her heart remained true to her Kentucky heritage. The memories of her parents, brothers and sisters always remained precious to her.

Marquita was preceded in death by her husband William Grant Hatfield, her parents, Thomas and Roxie Ratcliff, her sister Marcella Daniels, and her brother Paul Douglas Ratcliff.
