WEST FORK — Jeanne C. Virden, 84, of West Fork died Jan. 31, 2009, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville. She was born Feb. 4, 1924, at Ajo, Ariz., to William "Bill" Henry and Gwendolyn "Bunnie" Watson Coleman. She was a member of Order of The Eastern Star of Big Lake, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, L.M. "Slim" Virden.
Survivors include one son, Jerry "Pat" Norwood and wife Carolyn of Talala, Okla.; one daughter, Lynn Smith and husband Ken of West Fork; one sister, Marge Holm of Dallas; five grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11 p.m. Wednesday at the Friendship Cemetery near West Fork with Scott Miller officiating. Burial will be in the Friendship Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Gary Jones, Jimmy Jones, Reggie Higgs, Kenny Smith, Tony Taylor, and Fred Colvin.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be the Arkansas Children's Hospital, P.O. Box 2222, Little Rock, AR 72202 or the Order of The Eastern Star of Big Lake.
