Damon Clark Poole, 89, of Guy, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2013. He was born on Thursday, July 10, 1924, in Guy, to the late Archie Estes and Navada Gertrude (Rowlett) Poole. He was a member of the Guy Church of Christ and a retired World War II Veteran; he loved visiting and talking with friends. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 39 years, Nancy Lou Poole; three brothers, Dalton Lee, Milton D. and Billy Arch Poole; and two sisters, Bonnie Merle Poole Presley and Exene Elizabeth Poole Latture.Those left to mourn his passing are his two sons, Damon Clark Poole II and Dennis Wayne Poole and wife Atascha of Guy; three grandchildren, Austin Cole Webb, Tanner Wayne Poole, and Sadie Mae Poole; two sisters, Wilma Siebel of California and Thelma Tootle of Michigan; numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.Funeral services are set for 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, 2013, at Copperas Springs Baptist Church in Guy, with Brother Gary Burdin officiating. Interment will follow in Copperas Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13, 2013, at the church. Arrangements are by Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Greenbrier, 501-679-2575.Pallbearers will be Stacy and Heath Williams, Wesley Stephens, Shane Burrows, Mark Poole and Bobby Willborg.Honorary pallbearers are Kyle Rimmer and Shelby King.
