ROGERS — Iva Lee Gillespie, 74, of Rogers died April 30, 2002, at Northwest Medical Center in Springdale. She was born Jan. 25, 1928, in Beaver Okla., to Fred A. and Nellie Louisa Arnold Wright. She grew up in Beaver and Laverne, Okla. In 1950, she moved to Wichita, Kan., and where the worked for 15 years as an inspector for Boeing. In 1965, she moved to Casa Grande, Ariz., where she and her husband were self-employed and she was a member of the Business and Professional Women. In 1985, they moved to Rogers, where she worked for Wal-Mart in the microfilm retrieval business office and retired in 1994. She enjoyed water skiing, gardening and canning.

Survivors include her husband, Jock Gillespie, to whom the was married 50 years; one daughter, Twila J. Smith of Rogers; two sisters, Mary Lou Reeves of Avoca and Birdene Hickman of Rogers; one granddaughter; one great-grandson; three stepgreat-grandsons.

Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday at Little Flock Cemetery with Chuck Sackman officiating.

Honorary pallbearers will be Tony Hickman, Buck Reeves, Marvin Wright, Jared Peterson, Larry Wright and Leroy Smith.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Rogers.

Arrangements are by Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers.

Memorials may be made to the Disabled American Veterans Association, Washington, D.C., or the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Fayetteville.
