Bernice Delphia Bearden, 93, of Guy, died Tuesday, February 24, 2004 at Baptist Medical Center in Heber Springs. She was born in Quitman on May 5, 1910 to the late William Franklin and Delphia Catherine Herring Tanner. She was a homemaker and a member of New Home Baptist Church. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Jack Bearden; a son, Norman Bearden; a daughter, Nelda Hill; five brothers; and four sisters. Survivors include a son, Darrell Bearden of Guy; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 28, 2004 in the Chapel at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home, Greenbrier with Terry Hill officiating. Burial will follow in Copperas Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home, Greenbrier. Pallbearers will be Lois Morton, Charles Mauldin, Marty Powell, Delbert Skinner, Lonnie Rowlett, and B. L. Hodges.
