SPRINGDALE — Oren Coy Paris, age 76, of Springdale, went to be with his Lord on June 21, 2012, at Northwest Medical Center in Bentonville. He was born June 24, 1935, in Cache, Okla., the son of Oren O. Paris and Mary Lydia Nicholson Paris.
He was the founder and chancellor of Ecclesia College and spent his life working for the Kingdom of the Lord. He was a graduate of Texas Wesleyan University and Southwestern Assemblies of God University. His greatest pleasure was his life in Christ and all that flowed from that relationship. His conversations revolved around seeing God's purpose for people fulfilled and working with Him for the advancement of His Kingdom (Luke 6:45).
Mr. Paris is survived by his wife of 56 years, Inez Vines Paris of the home; one son, Oren Paris III and his wife, Carl, of Springdale; three daughters, Twila Wright and her husband, Jack, Starla Novak and her husband, Mike, both of Springdale, and Angie Snyder and her husband, Paul, of Waxahachie, Texas; one brother, Leland Paris and his wife, Fran, of Garden Valley, Texas; and eight grandchildren.
Memorial service will be Monday, June 25, 2012, at 1 p.m. at the First Assembly of God Church, 1605 W. Robinson Ave., Springdale, Ark., under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home.
Visitation will be Sunday, June 24, 2012, from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home.
