Mrs. J. A. Dodd
Dies at Hospital
Mrs. Eliza Ella Dodd, 83, of Rt. 3, Conway, died yesterday (Feb, 13, 1963) at Memorial Hospital after a long illness.
Mrs. Dodd, widow of James A. (Mann) Dodd, was born June 30, 1879, in Faulkner County, a daughter of Marion and Jane Scroggins Tucker. She had lived in the county all her life. She was a Baptist.
Survivors include two sons, Ezra V. Dodd of Brickeys and Stanley E Dodd of Springfield; four daughters, Mrs. Elzie New and Mrs. Virple Pike of Conway, Mrs. Blanch Kelso and Mrs. Audrey Freeman of Greenbrier; a sister, 31 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. tomorrow at McNutt's Chapel by the Rev. Loyd Thomas and the Rev. George Hurst. Burial will be in Copperas Springs Cemetery by McNutt Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Mrs. Dodd's grandsons, Otis and Charles New, Billy and Freddie Pike, Jerry Kelso and Harold Bowie.
