Funeral services for O. C. Reeves, aged 81, pioneer Camden merchant, who was known to all other residents of Ouachita county, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Proctor Chapel, Rev. W. J. H. Petter, rector of St. John's Episcopal church will be in charge. Mr. Reeves died Friday morning in St. Vincent's Infirmary, Little Rock, after a short illness. His many friends throughout the county and South Arkansas, will regret to learn of his death. Pallbearers will be George Henry May, Charles Gee, R. J. Horton, Niolan Spain, Jack Barger, and Calvin Spain. (Camden News - October 9, 1948)
