*Obituary
On Monday of this week at 11 o'clock, Mr. T G Mitchell died at his residence in the northwestern part of the city. He had been sick for the past six years and for three months has been confined to his bed. Funeral services were conducted from the residence Tuesday morning at 9:30 o'clock, Rev. W F Evans officiating. A large concourse of friends attended the remains to the cemetery and most beautiful floral offerings were placed on his grave by loving hands, chief among them being the flower he loved so well, the cape jessamine. Mr. Mitchell was born in Ouachita county August 26th, 1868, and lived in Ouachita county all his life. Until his health failed he was an energetic and prosperous young man. Although not a member of any church he was a Christian and died in full faith of a glorious resurrection. His mother and two sisters, Miss Belle and Tenalia, reside here and two brothers, J T Mitchell, of Portland and J S Mitchell of Pine Bluff and one sister, Mrs. Frank Hawkins of Analaska, are the members of the family who survive him.
