1906 - March 4, 1966
Miss Sarah Lide, age 59, of 124 Clifton Street died at her home Friday morning. She was a member of a pioneer Ouachita family, and lived in Camden most all her life. Her parents were the late Mr. and Mrs. S. B. Lide. She was a member of the First Methodist Church. Miss Lide graduated from Camden High School, and attended the University of Arkansas. She worked for several years at the famed Mary Elizabeth Home in San Francisco, California. She is survived by three sisters, Mrs. H. L. Shannon of Little Rock, Miss Kate Lide and Miss Emma Lide both of Camden; two brothers, Dr. Edwin Lide of Chicago, Ill., and Scott Lide of Camden. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at Proctor Chapel with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. The family requests that contributions be made to the Methodist Children's Home or the Ouachita County Cancer Society. Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. (Camden News - March 4, 1966)
