John Wesley Fitts, 91, long time resident of West Fork, died at his home yesterday afternoon at 1 o'clock following an illness of five weeks. He was born May 6, 1861 in Tennessee, the son of John W. and Susan Chillery Fitts. He moved with his parents to West Fork when he was 10 years old. Mr. Mr. Fitt was married to Lucinda Winn, who died in 1949. He was a member of the West Fork Christian Church.

Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Etta Laney, Mrs. Anna Mahoney, both of West Fork, and Miss Tona Fitts of the home; one sister, Mrs. Sarah Reiff of Oildale, Calif.; five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the West Fork Christian Church, with burial in the Union Star cemetery under the direction of Nelson's Funeral Home.

Mrs. Lucinda Fitts, 83, died at her home on Route 2, West Fork, yesterday at 11:30 a.m. She had lived in the West Fork community all her life, and was a member of the First Christian Church.

Survivors are her husband, John W. Fitts, to whom she was married in 1881; three daughters, Mrs. Etta Laney of Greenland, Mrs. Anna Mahoney of West Fork and Miss Tona Fitts of the home; a sister, Mrs. Almeda Robinson of Westville, Okla.; a brother, Albert Winn of Whittier, Calif.; five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 2 p.m. at the First Christian Church in West Fork by the Rev. I.H. Burgess of Springdale. Burial in the Union Star cemetery will be under direction of the Nelson-Savage Funeral Home.
