Monday, March 22, 1971
John Earl Fitts, 65, or 508 Prairie Ave., died Saturday morning in a local hospital. He was born May 2, 1904, at West Fork, son of Julius and Vida Rieff Fitts.
Survivors are his widow, Mrs. Gladys Tackett Fitts; four sons, Roy of Farmington, Carl Wayne of Fayetteville; Cornelius Genett, of Elkins and John Phillip, with the Navy in California; one sister, Mrs. Etta Drybread of West Fork and 10 grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Watson Mortuary with burial in Union Star Cemetery near West Fork.
