Sharon “Sherry” Gail (Stell) Rimmer, 65, of Guy passed away on Friday, April 22, 2011. She was a daughter of the late Joseph A. and Velma (Anderson) Stell.
Sherry was known as “Mom”, “Nana”, “Sister”, and “Friend”. When it came to her grandchildren, she said: “Some of her greatest blessings called her Nana”. She went above and beyond to make sure no one felt “less than”. She looked for people to help, sacrificing herself one hundred percent to make sure their needs were met. She always made sure everyone in her family was fed and it didn't matter what they wanted, it was provided. Her family lovingly says that “Nana's cooking wasn't good unless the fire alarm went off”.
She is survived by her loving husband of forty-seven years, Harold “Butch” Rimmer; two sons, Richey and Tina Rimmer, and Victor and Michana Rimmer; daughter, Kara Propes and David Rogers; ten grandchildren, Aaron Rimmer, Ashlynn Propes, Alexander Propes, Garrett Rimmer, Ericka Rimmer, Natalie Rimmer, Hannah Rimmer, Mattie Rimmer, Jeffrey Rogers, and Ashlynn Rogers; great-grandchild, Rylan Seth Rimmer; and four brothers, Doyne Stell, Ray Stell, Louis Stell, and Danny Stell.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Billy Joe Stell; and three sisters, Flodine Mason, Maxine Stell, and Lorene Jones.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Monday, April 25, 2011 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Guy with Brothers Cecil Burgess and Ed Stephenson officiating, along with an invitation to friends and family to give testimonials about Sherry. Burial will follow at Copperas Springs Cemetery with Aaron Rimmer, Alexander Propes, Garrett Rimmer, Jeffrey Rogers, Randy Stell, Ronnie Stell, Timmy Stell, Lance Stell, Marcus Willborg, and Bobby Willborg, serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be from to 5:00 to 9:00 p.m., on Sunday, April 24, 2011 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home, Conway.
