Willie Reba Battles Pearson was born February 15, 1930 and passed away August 13, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband Edgar Pearson in 1998, and a son, Billy. She is survived by daughter Carolyn Cantwell of Broken Arrow, OK, a son, Mike Pearson (Kristi) of Van Buren, AR; five grandchildren, MykelAnn Pearson, Amy Gonzalez, Neal Pearson, Taylor Javier (Lem) and John Walker; two great-grandchildren and one on the way. She is also survived by a sister, Bronnie Ingram and a brother, Bobby Battles.
Mrs. Pearson was a long time resident of Faulkner County, but moved to Broken Arrow, OK to be near her daughter when her health started to decline. She was a hard worker and retired from American Transportation.
She loved the nursing home residents and staff of Cedar Crest Care Center and was well loved by all there, who knew her to be kind, loving, and a helper to those less fortunate than her, feeding those who could not self-feed and advocating for the care of those who could not or would not speak up for themselves. The nurses loved her sweet spirit and could often be found visiting with her when they had free time or asking for advise in handling their personal affairs and problems.
Funeral service will be Sunday, August 16, 2015, 1:00pm at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway with Brother Gregg Long officiating. Interment will follow the service at Pearson Cemetery in Wooster. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
