MCKINNEY, Texas - Carl Calvin George Sr., age 87, of McKinney, Texas, died on Monday, April 27, 2015, in McKinney, Texas He was born Nov. 19, 1927, in Elm Springs, Ark., to Henry Lewis and Flora Nannie George.

He was a Navy veteran serving in World War II and also an ordained Baptist Minister.

Carl is survived by his wife, Pearl George of McKinney, Texas; four sons and three daughters, Sharon Morgan of Joplin, Mo.; Vicki Dickson and her husband Roy of Houston, Texas; Judy Bishop and her husband Mark of Colorado Springs, Colo.; Carl Jr. George and his wife Mary of Hot Springs Village, Ark,; Tim George and his wife Kathy of Hot Springs, Ark.; Tommy George of Fort Worth, Texas; Joe Wayne George of Azle, Texas, son-in-law, Richard Kent of McKinney, Texas; three sisters: Jane Smith of California, Pauline Harvison, of Springdale, Ark., Henryetta Huether and her husband Donavon of Snowflake, Ariz., and one brother, Billy George and his wife Joan of California; 21 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. Friday May 1, 2015, at Moore's Chapel in Fayetteville, Ark. Funeral service will be held Saturday, 10 a.m. at Lakeview Baptist Church in Cave Springs, Ark., with Pastor Sonny Harvison officiating under the directions of Moore's Chapel.
