Elzie “Ma” Tucker, 93 of Guy, Arkansas died Saturday, July 24th, 2004 at her home. She was born August 5th , 1910 in Greenbrier, daughter of the late Bart and Nancy Battles Glen. She was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Bonnie Tucker and by six brothers and six sisters. She was a member of the Mt. Olive Baptist Church of Guy, and owned and operated “Ma Tuckers Café” in Conway for over 30 years that served as a landmark for college students, local employees and residents for the years she was in business. She is survived by son, Russell Tucker and wife Virginia of Guy, daughter, Manillian Day of Guy, by eight grandchildren: Kim Wilson, Tammy Wakefield, Freda Keuten, Joley Mayfield, Debra Epps, Kathy Beane, Linda Beasley, and Churls Tucker, by fifteen great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Wednesday, 2:00 p.m., July 28th, 2004 at Roller McNutt Greenbrier Chapel with Rev. Gordon Lemings, Rev. Wallace Glover, and Rev. Ed Stephenson officiating. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday. Burial at Copperas Springs Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Johnny Weidower, Earl Epps, Eddie Rimmer, Richie Rimmer, Dwight Rimmer, and Kenny Glover.
