Opal Emma Wiedower Overton, 90, of Little Rock, died on Friday, May 11, 2012. She was born April 14, 1922 in Guy, Arkansas, a daughter of Lela Tucker and Julius Wiedower. She was a retired seamstress and a member of Highlands Baptist Church in Little Rock. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Marvin Clarence Overton, her parents, sisters Josephine Westlake and Alburna Horton, and brothers S.G. Wiedower and D.J. “Cotton” Wiedower.
She is survived by her daughter, Gail and husband Roy Holmes of Little Rock; two grandchildren, Angela Cochran and husband James Roberts of Sheridan, and Crystal Grice Feier of Bentonville.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Sunday, May 13, 2012, at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home, (501)224-8300.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Greenbrier, Arkansas. Interment will follow at Copperas Springs Cemetery in Guy, Arkansas.
