SULPHUR SPRINGS — Allen Franklin Waldrip, 73-year-old resident of Sulphur Springs, Ark., died July 17, 2014, at Mercy Medical Center in Rogers, Ark. He was born Jan. 7, 1941, in Benton County, Ark., to Marion Franklin Waldrip and Olive Cleo Elliott Waldrip.

He was a lifetime resident of Northwest Arkansas. Allen worked for over 30 years as a mechanic for Peterson Industries and later Simmons Food Inc. He was a retired Gravette volunteer firefighter and a member of Midway Pentecostal Church.

Allen was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Randy Allen Waldrip; and one brother, Luther Anderson Waldrip.

He is survived by three daughters, Teresa Styles and husband, David, Tammy Forcum, and Tara Dawn Jobe and husband, Lee, all of Sulphur Springs; one son, Franklin Dean Waldrip and wife, Brittney, of Gravette, Ark.; one stepson, Ray Collins of Joplin, Mo.; 11 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 23, 2014, at Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs, Ark., with Mr. Randy Roughton and Mr. David Barber officiating. Burial will follow at Butler Creek Cemetery, Sulphur Springs, Ark.

Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 22, 2014, at Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs.
