PEA RIDGE — Edward Dean McBryde, 64, of Pea Ridge, died Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013, at Meadowview Healthcare & Rehab in Huntsville. He was born Aug. 1, 1948, at Liberal, Kan., to Frankie Leon McBryde and Johnnie Bernice Stages McBryde.
He served two tours of duty in the US. Navy during the Cold War and Vietnam. He received the National Defense Service Medal and Good Conduct Award.
He enjoyed family reunions and was a member of Twelve Corners Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors are his wife, Linda McBryde of the home; a son, Robert McBryde and Misty Ward of Huntsville; a daughter, Evetta Hauser of Pea Ridge; one sister, Helen Whitaker and Edsel of Rogers; five brothers, Frankie Leon Jr. McBryde and Mary Ann of Huntville, Carl McBryde and Ruth of Anderson, Mo., Ronald McBryde and Carol of Jacksonville, Fla., George McBryde of Rogers, and Roy McBryde and Donna of Bentonville; five grandchildren, Bobby To Eason of Pea Ridge, Amber Leatherwood of Garfield, Drew McBryde of Fayetteville, Britney Ward and Logan Ward, both of Huntsville; one great-grandson, John Eason; and one great-granddaughter, Kyla Leatherwood.
Graveside service is set for 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 11, at Pea Ridge Cemetery with full military honors.
Visitation is set for 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 10, at Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge.
