CENTERTON — Kendra Maria Youngman, 15, of Centerton, passed away Saturday, July 17, 2010, at home with her mother. She had been battling cystic fibrosis since she was an infant.

She was born Jan. 20, 1995, in Rogers, Ark., to Lori L. Youngman and the late Dennis W. Youngman.

She enjoyed horseback riding, hunting and outdoor activities. She was a member of Johnson Arena's Playdays, in which she enjoyed doing poles and barrels on horseback. She attended Bentonville Schools.

She was a very loving and caring child and she will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Kendra was preceded in death by her father, Dennis; great-grandmother, Virgie Dalton; and great-grandparents, Earl and Jewel Youngman.

Survivors include her mother, Lori; one sister, Heather L. Lowery of Caroleen, N.C.; grandparents, Bob and June Hogue of Copley, Ohio; grandparents, Loyd and Janice Youngman of Ozark, Ark.; great-grandfather, Leon Dalton; Uncle Joe and Aunt Denise Manley of Wadsworth, Ohio; Uncle Jimmy and Aunt Teresa Scanlon of Rogers; Uncle Johnny and Aunt Kim Youngman of Pea Ridge; Aunt Elisha Youngman of Little Rock; and nieces and nephews, Katelyn, Jordan and Nathan Manley, Shawna and Lea Scanlon, and Amber, Ashley, Brittney, and Cassie Youngman.

Services for Kendra will be 10 a.m. Thursday, July 22, 2010, at Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers with the Rev. Robert Ward officiating. Burial will follow at Pea Ridge Cemetery.

Visitation will be 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, July 21, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 7101 W. 13th St., Suite 401, Little Rock, AR 72201.

Our thanks to all of Kendra's caregivers over the years and a special thanks to the Arkansas Children's Hospital nurses and staff in Little Rock.
