FAYETTEVIILE — Blondie E. Edwards, 88, of Fayetteville died June 19, 2011, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville.
He was born March 29, 1923, in Durham to Vard and Magnolia Burkhart Edwards. He worked at Prudential Insurance Co. and Brashears Funeral Home and was an Army veteran, serving in World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Macel Elam Edwards; a son, Ron Edwards and wife, Connie, of Springdale; a daughter, Karen Henson and husband, Jerry, of Fayetteville; a sister; five grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Center Street Church of Christ in Fayetteville.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the church. Burial will be in Baptist Ford Cemetery.
Arrangements are by Brashears Funeral Home of Huntsville.
