Mrs. Bernice M. Fields, 94, of Fayetteville passed away Sunday April 3, 2005, in Fayetteville. She was born Jan. 24, 1911, in West Fork to Robert L. "Bob" and Nevada Belle Rieff Woods. She was a homemaker, a Christian and a member of a local church for more than 50 years.
In addition to he parents, her husband, I.W. Fields, four brothers, Argle Woods, Orvil Woods, Earl Woods, Walter Woods and one sister, Hazel McClelland, preceded her in death.
Two daughters, Mildred Hamby of Farmington, Lela Culligan of Richmond, Minn.; one son, Learthur Fields of Oklahoma; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren, survive her.
A graveside funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday April 7 at Baptist Ford Cemetery near Greenland with the Rev. Wayne Danner officiating.
