Harry Nelson "Buddy" Rundel, 88, of Stuttgart passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2012, at Baptist Health-Stuttgart. Mr. Rundel was born April 6, 1923, in Stuttgart to Harry S. Rundel and Tillie Meyer Rundel Culberson. He was a Navy veteran who proudly served his country during World War II and the Korean War. When he returned home, he was employed at City Service station and Lion Oil Co. He then owned and operated Amaco before owning and operating Buddy's Radiator Shop for over 30 years.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-father, Walter Culberson; grandfather, Andrew Meyer; and brothers, Jimmy Rundel and Jack Rundel. Survivors are his wife of 65 years, Charlene Richenback Rundel; four daughters, Linda (Benny) Sanders of Hot Springs, Glenda (Gerald) Bednar of Slovak, Sherry (Rick) Jones of Jacksonville and Sandy (Jack) Holderman of Stuttgart; eight grandchildren, Karen Loyd and Paula (Carlos) Gonzalez of Hot Springs, Stacy Jones and Nick Jones of Jacksonville, Chris Jones of Little Rock, Valoree (Jason) Wilburn of Bryant, Janey Bednar of Slovak and Jeremy (Laine) Bednar of North Little Rock; five great-grandchildren, C.J. Jones, Brandon Loyd, Benjamin Loyd, Raiden Jones and Hazen Jones; and many other family members and friends.

Funeral services, officiated by Bro. Luke Criswell, are 10 a.m., Saturday at Turpin Funeral Home chapel with burial in Lone Tree Cemetery. Visitation will be at the family home, 711 N. Grand, Stuttgart.
