Mrs. Lessie K. Hartsell, 71, of 1106 W. Sixth St., died Tuesday7 night in a local hospital following a lengthy illness. She was a member of the College Avenue Church of Christ. Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Rella Lofton of Village; a grandson, Gene Chaffin of El Dorado; a granddaughter, Betty Chaffin of El Dorado; and two great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Thursday at Bailey Funeral Home Chapel with Barg Elmore officiating. Interment was in Bethlehem Cemetery near Village. Pallbearers were W. T. Matthews, E. L. Dumas, Leonard Dumas, B. J. Houldridge, W. H. Edney and R. H. Peppers. (El Dorado Times - March 19, 1970)
