William K. Purdin, 60, of Rt. 1, West Fork, died Jan. 24 in a Fayetteville hospital. Born March 24, 1917, at Yukon, Okla., he was the son of C.R. and Helen Holton Bowles Purdin, a veteran of World War II, a retired employee of Standard Brand Foods Co., and in his youth was a classical pianist.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Helen Higgins Purdin of the home; one daughter, Mrs. Margot Jackson of Oklahoma City, Okla.; and one granddaughter, Brooke Jackson of Oklahoma City.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Luginbuel Funeral Home, Prairie Grove, and burial will be in Wickwire Cemetery near Strickler under the direction of Luginbuel.
