SPRINGDALE — James "Jimmy" R. Wilson, age 70, of Springdale died Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012, in Springdale. He was born April 11, 1942, in Pitcher, Okla., the son of Wallace James Wilson and Wounetta McElyea Wilson Couch.

He was retired from the United States Navy. He was a member of the Elks Lodge.

He is survived by a son, Michael J. Wilson of Fayetteville; a daughter, Judi P. Sturgill and her husband, Todd, of Bentonville; two brothers, Michael D. Wilson and his wife, Judy, of Fayetteville and Jack Wilson of Fayetteville; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren: and many losing family members and friends.

Visitation will be held 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 18, at Moore's Chapel. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Moore's Chapel, with burial at Baptist Ford Cemetery in Greenland, under the direction of Moore's Chapel.

Pallbearers will be Jeremy Wilson, Jackson Wilson, Jack Wilson, Danny Dikeman, Daniel Harrison and Logan Sturgill. Honorary pallbearer will be Aaron Wilson.
