Husband of Sara Branscum. Donnie the son of William Edward Branscum and Sarah Jane (Wycough) Branscum.


Don E. 'Donnie' Branscum, age 49 of Cave City died Monday, May 3, 2010 at Batesville. He was born December 22, 1960 at Batesville, Arkansas to William Edward and Sarah Jane Wycough Branscum. He was a heavy equipment operator, enjoyed hunting and fishing and was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Eddie Banscum, Charles Elbert Branscum, James William Branscum and an infant brother and three sisters, Margaret Ann Wycough, Judy Elizabeth Boone and Louise Branscum.

Survivors include his wife, Sara Branscum, a son Logan Allen Branscum and a daughter, Shelly Taylor all of the home and a daughter, Megan Strother of Batesville, one grandson, Josiah Reyes of Batesville, three brothers, Jim Branscum of Cushman, Johnny Branscum of Maple Springs and Stan Branscum of Magness, two sisters, Billie Jane Branscum of Cushman and Debbie Mercer of Denmark, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will begin Thursday, May 6, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel. Burial will follow in the Milligan Campground Cemetery located near Strawberry with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service of Batesville.

Visitation will be Wednesday, May 5, 2010 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Joey Boone, Heath Branscum, Adam Branscum, Eric Branscum, William Branscum, Jimmy Branscum Jr., Matthew Burba, Todd Coles, Robbie Callahan and David Townsend.

Honorary pallbearers are Tony Franks, Ronnie Jefferies, Buddy Lucy, Al Bennett and David Strother.
