SPRINGDALE — Troy Raymond Stair Jr., 67, of Springdale arrived home safely on Friday, Dec. 9. Born in Batesville, Ark., on Aug. 7, 1944, to Troy Raymond Stair Sr. and Sarah Agnes Tosh-Stewart he graduated from Little Rock Central High School and Ouachita Baptist University. After several years in management, Troy retired to driving a school bus and ushering Razorback games. Always a lover of life and laughter, he will be remembered with smiles and chuckles by family and friends.

Troy married Karen Smith and the two are parents to five and grandparents to 10. They have always been actively involved in church and most recently Troy was joyous about his active involvement in The Church of NWA. He is survived by his wife, Karen; his five children, Adrienne & Michael Chapman, Matt & Sarah Matthews, Brett Stair, and Sarah & John Gable, and Cadi Stair. His grandchildren gave him special joy and include: Marcy Matthews, Justin Chapman, Austin Chapman, Cooper Matthews, Carson Matthews, Brittany Stair, Julia Stair, Brian Stair, Chandler Gable and Ashlynne Gable.

Troy was welcomed to his new home by Jesus the Christ; his parents, Troy and Agnes Stair, in-laws, Gene and Marguerite Smith, and Gary Smith.

Visitation will be Monday evening, Dec. 12, from 5-7 p.m. at Westfield Chapel Funeral Home in Springdale. A celebration of his life will be Tuesday morning, Dec. 13, at 10 a.m. Westfield Chapel Funeral Home and officiated by Rod Goodsell. He will find his waiting place for Christ's return at Bluff Cemetery beside his in-laws. The family asks that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to The Church of NWA so others might know the hope and joy that Troy knew in Jesus.

As he now looks into the face of Jesus without pain or problem. Troy would want you to know that Jesus is the way, the truth, and most definitely life.

Condolences may be offered at www.westfieldchapel.com.
