1791 died 23 Feb 1868.
John Lafferty brought his family to AR about 1810 from TN. They are said to be the first white settlers in the area. Along with them came the Creswell families and Trimble families. All are well known names in the area. John fought in the Revolutionay War and was wounded at the battle of New Orleans...a wound that eventually killed him. The stone for Margaret was installed by the DAR.
